This is a journey into sound..

Came across an interesting record in my collection today called “A Journey Into Stereo Sound” which was released in the mid 1960’s. At the beginning is the famous sample, “This is a journey into sound..” ” from the “Train Sequence” (narrated by Geoffrey Sumner), which was the sample used by Eric B. & Rakim for “Paid in Full” in 1987. It was later sampled for “Pump Up the Volume” by M|A|R|R|S the same year, both records which I bought at the time. Certainly one of the most recognised dance music samples, which I hope Geoffrey got to benefit from before he died in 1989. My copy is not in the best of shape, but it is a full frequency range recording…
